AC Repair
My AC system works but always takes a while to come on.
I'm not sure if this is normal, I just bought this house and my old one didn't do that it seemed to come on immediately . Is there a problem with my thermostat? Why would it wait every time ?

It sounds to me like you have a digital thermostat on your heating and air conditioning system. most of those have a 5 minute compressor protection delay. Basically a delay is there for two reasons, one is to keep the system from turning on and off quickly like a kid messing with the thermostat and two it keeps the system from turning on every time you open your front door and let outside air in.
