How often should I have my gas heater checked out?
I have an old gas furnace that seems to work fine but I am wondering how often I need to have a check up

Well Bobby I recommend getting your heater checked once a year. People here in Texas seem to think heat checks are not important because we rarely have really cold weather. The whole reason of a check is to make sure it's safe to use. Heaters can cause major damage including carbon monoxide poisoning which could be fatal or even catching on fire. Precision Heating & Air recommends having your gas heating system serviced at least once a year. you mentioned you have a OLD GAS FURNACE - if it has not been inspected in a while there could be a problem, such as a gas leak or carbon monoxide.
