Texas Gas Service is currently offering the following incentive residential programs:

• Furnace incentive program- a $75 cash incentive for installing a new energy-efficient central furnace with certain minimum efficiency ratings.
• Duct sealing program- cash back for sealing ductwork on your existing gas furnace.
• Attic insulation program- cash back for upgrading the insulation in your attic.
• This program is available in conjunction with the Austin Energy whole house program.

Incentive programs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Funding and guidelines for these programs may be changed or discontinued at any time without notice.

2011 Federal Tax Credit Extension

General Provision

• 10% of installed cost, up to $500 maximum lifetime tax credit

Central A/C

• Split systems: 16 SEER & 13 EER
• Package Systems: 14 SEER & 12 EER
• 10% of installed cost, $300 maximum

Furnaces

• Gas furnaces: 95 AFUE
• Oil furnaces: 95 AFUE
• Boilers: 95 AFUE
• 10% of installed cost, $150 maximum

Heat Pump

• Splits: 15 SEER, 12.5 EER, 8.5 HSPF
• Packaged: 14 SEER, 12 EER, 8 HSPF
• 10% of installed cost, $300 maximum

For additional information about federal incentive programs or efficiency incentives go to the following link: energystar.gov/tax credits. As with the previous tax credits, we encourage dealers to share this information with homeowners; however, they should always advise homeowners to consult with a certified tax adviser to ensure they qualify for the tax credit. The new tax credit extension is in effect for all qualifying systems and products installed in the 2011 calendar year.
