Don't fret, most residential homes have one system.

A "system" consists of the unit inside your home (air handler or furnace) and the unit outside of your home (condenser). An easy way to tell how many systems you have is by looking outside your home for the condenser. If you only see one, you have one system. If there are multiple condensers, you have multiple systems.
