Austin Heating & Air Conditioning Tax Credits And Rebates

The City of Austin is also offering a rebate – theirs is first come first serve to any Austin Energy customer with a unit 10 years or older. The city has limited funding that could run out so it is best to act quickly!  Rebates can also include insulation and many more home energy saving improvements.  Precision can also add insulation in your attic to increase the amount of rebate you qualify for. They also offer a loan program, if you qualify, they will actually finance you through Velocity Credit Union.  This is an unsecured loan with a low interest rate that does not put a lien on your home. This can actually be used for rental properties as well.

Air Conditioning And Heating Equipment SEER Ratings

Pedernales Electric Cooperative is also offering similar rebates for Air Conditioning and Heating equipment – up to a $1000 dollars. These also end in December so call Precision asap to setup a free estimate with one of our qualified technicians!  Texas gas service is offering  a cash incentive of $75 for equipment the uses less gas.  Add all of these up and your return on investment can be huge!
In addition to all of this, today's more energy efficient Air Conditioning and Heating equipment can save a homeowner up to 40% in utility costs! This is depending on the brand and SEER rating of the equipment, but that has the potential to be a huge decrease in your monthly expenses!  Another way to decrease your energy consumption is by having regular maintenance performed on your unit (at least twice a year is recommended) and changing your filters often. A clogged up filter will cause your equipment to work harder to cool or heat your home, and that will consume more energy.
